Allegretto Wave
WAVEFRONT-Optimized LASIK with ALLEGRETTO WAVE™

The ALLEGRETTO laser is the newest refractive laser approved for use in the United States. It is the safest and most accurate laser available for patients today - and the Robbins Eye Center is the first in Connecticut to use Allegretto wave technology. With a reliable eye tracker and predictable results, this laser enables more patients than ever before to experience high-performance vision after one short, comfortable treatment - usually less than 15 seconds long!

This next generation LASIK surgery is approved for nearsightedness and astigmatism in cases twice as severe as before. The Allegretto wave laser is the only FDA-approved laser that can use wavefront technology on farsighted patients. In FDA trials, 44% of farsighted participants could see better after the procedure than with glasses or contacts. It's even designed to treat patients with high myopia and hyperopia! You will be at ease to know that Dr. Robbins has performed more no-blade Allegretto wave LASIK procedures than all other eye doctors in Connecticut combined. You can have confidence in Dr. Robbins' LASIK skill and extensive experience.

Unlike LASIK chains that generally use older equipment and cookie-cutter treatment, each and every LASIK patient at the Robbins Eye Center has a custom LASIK procedure, designed specifically for your eyes. LASIK chains frequently contract with out-of-area doctors to perform LASIK, so you never know who will perform your surgery. At the Robbins Eye Center, you can be confident that only Dr. Robbins will perform your custom LASIK procedure with state-of-the-art technology.

The ALLEGRETTO Wave features PerfectPulse Technology™ that precisely controls the creation of each individual laser pulse and its accurate placement on the eye. It minimizes post-operative glare issues.

Are You A Good Candidate?

You should be at least 21 years old, since the vision of people younger than 21 usually continues to change. Your eyes must be healthy and your prescription stable. People with certain medical conditions and pregnant or nursing women may not be good candidates, as these conditions might change the measured refraction of the eye.

If you have been waiting for the right technology to have LASIK surgery, the ALLEGRETTO Wave may be the right laser for you.
